On the occasion of the celebration in 2011 the International Year of Forests, City Hall, through the Department of Environment and Youth, has organized a series of activities aimed at raising awareness of the importance of caring and protecting native species that inhabit our mountains.
So, on Sunday November 27 will take place around the Ecopark plantation of the valley. It will use a hundred pines and native plant donated by the Association of Southeast Naturalist (ANSE). In this activity, beginning at 10 in the morning, neighbors collaborate valley and also involving Councillor for the Environment, Palazón Carolina.
Later, in the classroom will Ecoparque a talk on organic agriculture.
Another action that is also preparing, in this case with the collaboration of the Youth Council and drawing on the International Day of Human Rights, is a plantation in all IES Cartagena on December 2, with the selection one of these schools to carry out the planting Institutional and reading a manifesto.
On this plantation collaborate the Department of Environment, School of Agricultural Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, the Association of Southeast Naturalist (ASEAN) and the Directorate General Environment of the Autonomous Community.
On this occasion also provided ANSE planted native species and forest nursery donated by the Valley belongs to the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
