The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, will attend next Sunday, day 27, the XXIV Annual Meeting of the Emergency Radio Network for Civil Protection (rower) in the Region of Murcia, which this year will be held in Cartagena.
The event coordinators will also attend national and provincial REMER, Jorge de Castro and Jesus del Pozo, and the head of Civil Protection Unit of the Government Office, Juan Lorente.
The day began with a reception at the City Hall (H. 11.00), followed by visits to the palace hall itself, the Roman Theatre and archaea, ending with a fellowship lunch (14.30 pm, in the Real Racing Club), where diplomas are awarded in recognition of the permanence in the Red, plaques and awards.
What is REMER
Emergency Radio Network is an organization complementary to the Command of the General Directorate of Civil Protection and Emergency (Ministry of Interior), nationally structured and composed of Spanish amateurs who have voluntarily and altruistically are integrated in the same to assist in emergency situations.
Its role in such situations is to provide Civil Protection a secure communications network transmissions between the various departments involved in claims and also provide a comprehensive and timely information on the circumstances and the evolution of those.
The REMER in Murcia
The REMER Spain has about 7,000 employees (about 200 in the Region of Murcia) who put their technical and service expertise to the State Administration without receiving therefore no remuneration.
In this regard it is noted that to belong to this network must have the title and the radio operator licensed by the Directorate General of Telecommunications (Ministry of Development) which enables them to use the airwaves and the installation of stations in address and / or vehicle.
It should also be noted that members have multiple computers REMER transmissions, which tend to renew periodically to supplement them by more advanced.
The members of this network are located 24 hours a day, to enable immediate incorporation in case of an emergency (flooding, forest fires, earthquakes, accidents of particular relevance, etc..), For which usually has a corresponding leave their jobs because of the importance of the work to develop.
Network in the Region is divided into seven zones and Immediate Deployment Group.
The Meeting of the shirt is organized every year by one of the areas, this time has fallen to the 1st of which, in addition to Cartagena, are part Fuente Alamo, La Union, Los Alcazares, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar and Torre Pacheco.
