A white van Ford Transit starred in a double event on Friday, starting the first one at 13.15 hours, when local police officers stationed in Pozo Strait received a telephone call warning that some individuals tried to take products culture of the Finca Villa Nieves, located in La Palma.
When officers arrived, the caller said he saw several people trying to take their products growing in that van and, noticing his presence, fled in the opposite direction leaving in the middle of a dirt road the vehicle , who had been stuck in the mud by heavy rain falling at that time.
Once inspected the inside of the van, which had the broken headlight glass and sheet metal damage, in the rear cargo area, they found about ninety plastic containers designed for carrying fruit.
After removal from the mud with a tractor, the vehicle was immobilized and prepared for transfer to deposit Municipal Vehicles.
It was during this transfer, when the local police came to be required, in this case by the local tow truck driver.
Apparently, three individuals leading tourism had cut a necessary step to halt its progress, to get on the crane platform and get inside the vehicle carrying a toolbox.
Finally, the agents identified the individuals and gave their data to the Civil Guard, whose agencies had also intervened tools, for the instruction of the relevant proceedings.
