The winners of the previous edition of Classical Music Competition for Young Artist of the Region of Murcia between strings and brass, will be responsible for opening this week, the fifteenth edition of the competition, performing in three concerts to be undertaken promotional Orchestra Chamber of Cartagena in Cartagena, Murcia and Cabeza de Torres.
These actions will serve to heat engines in the next contest, whose semifinals and final will be held during the months of March and April to select the best Orchestra soloist, who will star in the May 4th Contest Closing Concert and an exception scenario, the new Auditorium and Convention Center The Batel, and free entry, and the rest of concerts.
Youth Councillor, Ruth Collado, and the manager of the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena and representative of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, Pedro Martinez, today unveiled details of the fifteenth edition of the contest, a competition that, according to Collado, has managed consolidated and recognition for being the only of its kind in the whole region and, therefore, have chosen to keep the lines of previous editions.
Thus, maintaining the seven modes: piano, strings, guitar, woodwinds, brass, percussion and vocals, and the two stages of the competition, the first semi-final, which is 20 to 29 March and the second end of 16 to 25 April. The registration deadline to participate is open until January 18.
Between strings and brass, contest co-organized by the Youth Council and the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, was born with the aim of promoting the practice of music among young people of our region and at the same time value and reward the effort required by their training .
This is a unique event in the region that has become a reference for those studying music, reaching a high level of participation in the last year reached its highest number, 104 applicants.
For Pedro Martínez, the key to success lies not only in an endowment, but offers as a bonus added to their recipients the opportunity to perform as soloists with a professional orchestra in a promotional concert series, making it an excellent training opportunity within of his career.
PROMOTIONAL CONCERT CYCLE
These concerts are given the opportunity, the winners of last year, to participate as soloists, along with the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra in three concerts:
On 23 November at the Auditorium Music Conservatory of Murcia, at 19.00 hours.
Almagro act soloists Noel Gimenez (guitar), Andrea Zamora Gumbao (piano), Cristina Jimenez Cachazo (saxophone) and Michelangelo Ros Soto (cello).
On 24 November at the Auditorium Music Conservatory of Cartagena, at 19.30 hours.
They act soloists Juan Pedro Martínez Martínez (marimba), Rocio Martinez de Salazar Arboleas (soprano), Juan Gonzalez Martinez (trombone), Cristina Jimenez Cachazo (saxophone) and Michelangelo Ros Soto (cello).
On November 28 at the Municipal Auditorium Cabezo de Torres, at 19.30 hours.
They act soloists Juan Pedro Martínez Martínez (marimba), Rocio Martinez de Salazar Arboleas (soprano), Juan Gonzalez Martinez (trombone), Noel Almagro Gimenez (guitar) and Andrea Zamora Gumbao (piano).
Forecast of CARACTERE CONTEST
Can participate in the contest students who are studying Professional Music Training in any of the methods called, born or who can prove their residence in the region of Murcia, as well as students who are studying music at one of the specialties convened Centro de Estudios any musical conservatories in the region.
(Those born or resident in the Murcia region also must provide proof they are enrolled in a conservatory or Musical Studies Centre).
AWARDS
The amount reserved for prizes economic amounts to the amount of 7,700 euros.
(There will be a first prize in each of the modalities of 750 euros and a second prize of 350 euros).

CALENDAR

Registrations will be delivered to the Department of Youth, on weekdays from 9.00 to 14.00.
