The Department of Sports and La Manga Club this morning signed an agreement with Soccer Leagues Norway, Sweden and Denmark to be held in Cartagena Football Tournament Sun Winter Cup teams contesting these Nordic countries during the preseason .
The championship will be held on 6 and 8 February 2012 and is headquartered Cartagonova Municipal Stadium, while the teams will focus on the sports complex of La Manga Club.
As noted by the Councillor for Sports, José Cabezas, the important thing is that the Scandinavian countries have chosen Cartagonova Cartagena and the Stadium to play their tournament which is a big attraction for cultural tourism and sports of the city and is at the same time , the beginning of a wonderful collaboration.
The Winter Cup Tournament Sol has a great impact on these countries, which is held to prepare the new league season and focuses the attention of fans and journalists.
According to organizers, about 100 million people will watch this tournament on television, which is a great platform to showcase the tourism potential of our city.
In addition to the Councillor for Sports, José Cabezas, in signing the agreement in the council room of the Administration Building, attended by the Director of the Sun Cup Tournament organized by the group Norsk Toppfotball, Jo Bergsvand, the Deputy Director La Manga Club Charles Danino, the Director General of Sabra Tours, Trond Olav Paulsrud, and the manager of the Municipal de Deportes de Cartagena, Eduardo Armada.
