The IES welcomes El Bohio on days 14, 15 and 16 November, the fourth and last meeting of the MAPLE project of the Municipality's Health, an initiative in which they are engaged since January 2010 and also involving teachers and students of institutes Burjassot (Valencia), Cadiz and Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid).
The opening ceremony held on Monday, attended by the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, the director of IES El Bohio, Jose Joaquin Sanchez, and the director of IES Federica Montseny and General Coordinator of the project, Juan Antonio Tatay.
For three days, these centers will participate in this project in which students and school teachers Cartagena can display some characteristics of the municipality, such as environmental health resources are there in Cartagena, or research and health monitoring food establishments for municipalities participating centers (the study of health and hygiene features burgers).
Also, students of schools of Cadiz, Valencia and Madrid, also will share their experiences on the topics mentioned, besides knowing a company in the food industry in the Region of Murcia (Estrella de Levante), the Roman Theatre in Cartagena, the Cartagena Antigua, the Shrine of the Fuensanta in Murcia, and so on.
City Health is an integrated project, mainly education and training, where you learn by interacting with the environment, with other ecosystems, with our peers and with a playful, although an effort is extracurricular, it is important and rewarding at all levels .
This project has the support of the Department of Education and Youth, through the IDEAS program.
