The City of Cartagena, through the Municipal Institute of Social Services has awarded a grant of 6,000 euros to the NGO Action Fire in humanitarian aid to El Salvador.
Four members of this NGO will move to this country between 8 and 18 November, where they will rescue, water purification, food and medical supplies to communities affected by heavy rains that hit the country last month October, in what has become one of the worst disasters in its history.
The components of this expedition, participating in a selfless way, are Ana Lopez Velasco, a nurse in Cartagena, Juan Antonio Martínez Catalán, SCIS Firefighter Cartagena, Pedro Díaz Vera, Almería firefighter, and Mónica López Bernal, a nurse in Almería.
The aid will materialize in an inflatable boat with outboard motor, medicines worth 20,000 euros, Fire Rescuers in Action and the grant of the IMSS.
