The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, opened on Friday October 28, along with Councilman Decentralization, Nicholas Angel Bernal, the training day for members of Neighborhood Councils, held in the clubhouse in El Algar.
The event was attended by district councilors, Alonso Gómez, Iasi Camarzana, Diego Ortega, María José Roca and Juan Jose Martinez, as well as 99 members and presidents of the eleven newly formed neighborhood committees in the municipality, the secretaries of the same technical area and Decentralization.
Barreiro used the occasion to welcome new members and reminded them that from now on become part of the institutional representation of the City of Cartagena.
The mayor welcomed the commitment of the chairpersons and members of the eleven boards for taking on this responsibility that comes with more active participation in public affairs.
