This week holds a special campaign for control of the nearly 300 existing licenses, verifying, among other things, documentation, permits, fees visible and available vehicle cleaning
The Local Police of Cartagena started on Monday an extraordinary campaign of supervision of about 300 taxis that exist in the municipality to ensure they comply with the provisions of the Municipal Taxi Regulation.
These controls are set forth in current regulations and are usually done on an annual or special to check the situation in which there is the taxi park in the city, as explained by the Councillor for Infrastructure, Services and Transportation, Francisco Espejo.
Starting Monday and throughout the week, local police officers will review the different vehicles
taxi ranks in the city and morning shifts, afternoon and evening.
Among the requirements, check the documentation of the vehicle and the driver, driver's license and insurance and permits.
Taxis must have the ceiling light identification license number, the meter working properly, the current rates and in a place visible to the client as well as regulatory and carry the extinguisher's book claims, among other provisions that marks the regulations.
We also inspected the interior and exterior of the cab to ensure the safety of customers and check the cleanliness of it as a mirror added.
In the first two days have been revised about 70 taxis in the street stops Ramón y Cajal, Paseo Alfonso X El Sabio, Bruna Angeles, Puerta de Madrid, Plaza Castellini, and there has been no complaint.
