Today, Monday and Tuesday, 24 and October 25, will be cut off completely to traffic on bridge Barrio de la Concepción, popularly known as Quitapellejos.
According to informed sources from the Office of Local Police Traffic, between eight o'clock and eight o'clock in the afternoon, traffic was interrupted in both directions, due to the pruning of the existing eucalyptus Real Street exit, as to perform this operation has been necessary to install special equipment on the road, given the size of the trees.
Sources Gardens Service explained that pruning will be to reduce the size in height and the width of the specimens, and often when the wind blows branches landslides occur on public roads.
It will be recalled Quitapellejos bridge is cut from a few weeks ago in the sense of entry to Cartagena, due to the works of setting new footbridge to the old bridge.
The works are nearing completion in early November, with the construction of a pedestrian ramp and physically disabled, who joins the Royal Street to the bridge, placement of a new railing and lighting, pruning of eucalyptus and asphalting of the road.
