The Planning Commission and Infrastructure Information has ruled, with votes in favor of PP and IU and PSOE abstentions Citizens Movement, the final approval of the Partial Plan CO.5.1, covering an area of 95,000 square meters between the valley and San Joseph the Worker, and adjacent to the old-332.
As pointed out by the Town Planning, Joaquín Segado, it is a record that comes to an end after years of negotiation, as in the old General Plan 1987 and was seen as an urban action program.
The area will have a floor area of 0.8 and is expected to build about 500 homes.
The Commission rejected the allegations made by individuals and has incorporated among others reports issued by the Directorate-General for Natural, Spatial Planning and Highways.
20 percent less CO2
The commission also ruled favorably on the accession of the City of Cartagena to the Covenant of Mayors for Sustainable Energy.
It will be recalled that accession was approved by the Governing Board and will now be ratified by the plenary.
The proposal has been submitted by the Councillor for Tourism and Environment, Palazón Carolina.
Adherence to this agreement, promoted by the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission in the fight against global warming by improving energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy production and use of cleaner, means for the city of Cartagena commitment to reduce CO2 emissions by 20 percent.
To this end the council, in partnership the Regional Environment Agency (ARGEM) is developing an inventory of CO2 emissions in the municipality, as a basis for the implementation of a Plan of Action for Sustainable Issuance (PAES) , which will involve the reduction of CO2 greenhouse gas emissions.
