After more than twenty years of promoting the practice of Rugby in Cartagena and carrying the shield of the three millennium old on their shirts at both the national and international Rugby Club Cartagena this week found the impossibility of having, as I was usually done for years, municipal facilities Athletics Track for reasons that have not been officially reported.
Despite the commitment shown by the directors of the Club in a meeting with top sports officials of the City that would clarify the circumstances of such a ban and try to find a solution to this meeting it has not happened and the Club has had to improvise their means and pay for a training that would enable its members (about eighty federal) the practice of their sport.
Apparently the origin of this "penalty" is in a discussion that took place last week with an official of the Athletics during the hours of use that the City has granted to the Rugby Club.
The Municipal Board, after hearing the version of the facts of that representative Athletic Club Cartagena and unsubstantiated information with no official Rugby Club decided, unilaterally, to prevent over 11 and October 13 the use of municipal sports facilities Athletics Track.
Neither offered an alternative site for the sport.
The penalty comes at the worst possible time for only one week before the team's debut in the League Cartagena Territorial Murcia organized Rugby Federation which this year is more contested than ever because it has nine teams.
The paradox is that during the time that the Rugby Club had been assigned to your workouts on the track this facility remained open and completely empty as shown in the background image that displays players who had to travel to sports facilities Cabezo Polygon Beaza for his usual workout.
Today the site is unknown where the Cartagena Rugby Club will hold its training on Thursday October 13.
