11.oct.2011.-La Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, in Bereco Motor Company, participating starting next Thursday, August 13, Solar Race competition in the form of solar vehicles, an international event organized by the Agency Energy Management in the Region of Murcia (ARGEM) and are held at the Cartagena Circuit Speed.
The prototype Bereco UPCT-called Hannibal, must demonstrate energy efficiency, as the winner of this competition will be the team that consume less energy.
This year has the support of National Instrument, who has given part of the sensing and communications system of the vehicle.
The team consists of ten students and teachers UPCT Antonio Guerrero and Angel Molina.
Pilots are the student and teacher Patricia Pérez Ana Nieto Morote.
The vehicle, built in the UPCT, improves prototype competed the last edition.
The scientific director, Angel Molina, recalled that in the construction of the prototype have involved students from the School of Industrial Engineering and the School of Naval and Oceanic Engineering.
In the presentation featured the Vice Chancellor for Planning and Coordination, José Antonio Cascales.
