Services Car Share and Share Parking, launched by the city of Cartagena by the Department of Sustainable Development, have been increasing the number of users and visitors during the month of September, offsetting the decline experienced in the summer.
In figures, share car has gone from 365 visits in August to 410 in September, rising to 788-807 users, 19 new users of which 12 are men and 7 women.
In addition, it maintains the user profiles, which have an average age of 37 years in men and 35 women.
On the other hand, the total of users involved in this initiative, 50.4% were offered as drivers, while 33% do as passengers, and there are more users discharged with own car (57.8%) point than those without a car (42.2%).
Another aspect is the frequency of the routes they share with other people in the municipality, data showing that the trips are mostly sporadic, 58.5%, compared to regular journeys, which are 42.2% total.
As for the type of movements, are mainly occasional (55.1%) or work (30%) and less often is the study trips to places (5%) and leisure (3.2%).
So far in 2011, the total of new users is 127 and the number of trips by 2553.
The most common are from Cartagena to Madrid, Úbeda, Murcia, Alhama de Murcia, and to Cartagena from Madrid, Barcelona Los Alcazares (Hospital Los Arcos).
The other formulas proposed municipal initiative of saving, sharing parking, also increased its numbers in September, from August 65 recorded visits to 292 visits last month.
This figure ranks second Cartagena behind Aranda de Duero, among the 27 cities that also enjoy this service.
