The Vice President and Group CEO of SABIC, Mohamed Al-Mady, has selected Innovative Plastics SABIC plants in Cartagena, to celebrate the global meeting of vice chairmen and members of the Steering Committee of the company.
Saudi multinational that operates in over 60 countries, including Spain, has implemented the Cartagena plastics division since 2007.
Recently, the expansion of the plant has created 725 direct jobs for Cartagena and new research projects that will require the addition of new employees: highly qualified engineers will be searched in the Region of Murcia.
This was announced the Minister of Universities, Business and Research, José Ballesta, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, that have been received by the executive director of the company, Al-Mady, Vice President of SABIC's plastics division Innovative Plastic, Charles Crew, and other vice presidents and members of the Executive Committee meeting.
Al-Mady and Crew have been transferred to local authorities to calm the financial and economic health of the company and have said they will continue to grow in the regional territory, boosting the economy.
Specifically, the regional executive has supported the creation compounding plant, two plants of polycarbonate resin and subsequent extensions, as well as a plastics plant last generation, which has meant a total investment of 1,493,952,393 euros, generating direct employment and indirect.
Among the innovative projects that will develop in Aljorra facilities is the production of a next-generation additive maturation of plastic used in the same plant and sold in the international market.
Sabic has also developed innovative projects in the region, for example, coating the front of the Auditorium and Convention Center of Cartagena that is made ​​of raw material for plastics plant Sabic, first used for this type of coating s, as explained by the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro.
This demonstrates the capacity for innovation that makes SABIC plastic resins used for such varied industries as automotive, health, electronics, packaging, construction, telecommunications and optics.
