Another year, comes out the program of activities, courses and workshops organized by the Department of Women for 2011/2012 this course, which focuses, beyond the purely concerning women, for true equality program and effective in the direction of a pluralistic society and more equitable, as noted by the Councillor, Clare Hall.
With the aim to combine fun, preparation and personal growth of participants, the course will open on Tuesday, October 4, with the presentation of activities in the auditorium of the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy, at 16.30 hours.
In the first quarter, October to December, the program includes the celebration of Day of Rural Women, there will be a trip to Portugal, Assertive and Carnival workshops and activities on gender violence, as well as days of intercultural exchange between associations women.
In the second quarter activities will focus on Easter and the traditional bobbin Lacemakers Meeting held in La Palma, as well as the commemoration of March 8th, International Day of United Nations Women's Rights and Peace.
Since April to May, last quarter, will continue the conference and cultural exchange will take place Marchamujer.
In regard to courses, maintaining the information technology, both basic and advanced level, and there will be a theoretical-practical course for Senior Carer.
The workshops will focus on painting, theater, furniture restoration, rolls and Patchwork, among others.
