The National Technology Center Food and Canning (CTC), based in Molina de Segura, will organize next October at the Old Barracks Seamanship Instruction (MIC) of Cartagena, the V International Symposium on Food Technology, attracting therefore all the attention of researchers and companies involved in the expertise applied to the world of food.
This event, which has been held every two years to allow time for companies to investigate and conduct their private developments, this time focusing on two major areas of interest, supervised by the technical committee of the Symposium, including: new functional food ingredients to improve health, and the latest innovations in food technologies.
The purpose of this meeting is to transfer tech companies in the sector, and for that we will have great experts from both national and international scene, who will share their experiences with the audience.
Thus, countries like Sweden, Italy, UK and Romania, will be on showing innovative processes to make food safer to consume, extending its life and addressing issues such as the enhancement of waste from the oil industry oil, or the latest advances in the detection of foreign bodies in food.
Similarly, also will attend the Symposium a large group of researchers in functional foods to improve health, from major national scientific and academic institutions such as the Institute of Food Science of Madrid, the Institute of Agrochemistry and Technology Food in Valencia or Murcia CEBAS-CSIC.
Also worth noting, among other participating companies, the presence of Coca Cola, that will go to Cartagena for her experience in "sustainability and packaging innovation in the beverage industry."
Technology Transfer
The Symposium, to be held during a single day in morning and afternoon session, will run in parallel to the Conference on Technology Transfer in Food Food'11, which in this case organized by the Ministry of Universities, Business and Regional Research Murcia, through the Instituto de Fomento (INFO), consist of bilateral meetings between companies from different countries to establish technology cooperation agreements related to innovations in the industry.
Moreover, we note the large corporate representation will meet in Cartagena, as yet Juver, Premium Ingredients, Tropicana Alvalle, Marin Montejano Group, Hero Spain, Marín Jiménez Brothers, Cynara Cofrusa EU and, together with the Ministry of Health, CEBAS CSIC, INFO, CITEM and the CTC itself, form the technical committee that organized the event.
