About 2,800 foreign tourists have arrived this morning to the city aboard the Celebrity cruise Eclipse, the newest ship in the company of luxury Celebrity Cruises, built in 2010 and also considered one of the world's largest cruise ship.
During his stopover in Cartagena, tourists have taken advantage of good weather to stroll the streets and shop, sit on the terraces and bars downtown and visit tourist spots such as the Roman Theatre, the Palace Hall and Main Street.
As usual, have been received at the foot of stairs by a tourist information point of the City of Cartagena.
Celebrity Eclipse features some spectacular dimensions: 315 feet long, 37 meters wide, and 12 decks, which could be seen this morning from anywhere in the vicinity of the dock.
Furthermore, inside this giant is equipped with more than 1,100 cabins, all with balconies, plus 62 suites and entertainment areas as diverse as miniature golf, a jogging track, one basketball, gym, casino, beauty salon, library , spa, games room and even a cinema.
This scale of Celebrity Eclipse in the port of Cartagena is the first of four that make up the end of the year in our city. The next time we can see its spectacular skyline will be September 24 and repeated two scales in the month of October.
