The International Film Festival of Cartagena (FICC) and prepares the projectors.
In three months the organizers have received more than 400 short films of moviegoers who will try to gain a foothold in the fortieth edition of the festival to be held from 11 to 17 December.
Although most of the shorts are of Spanish, this year has greatly increased the number of foreign courts presented, since there have been works from all over Europe but also Australia, the United States or United Arab.
Until Saturday September 10, the films can be sent to the office of FICC or through the server enabled on the festival website ( www.ficc.es ).
A committee will select the best works to project the week of competition, and these shorts will be entering the contest.
The two modes in which you can participate are the Official Selection of Short Films, for both domestic and foreign filmmakers, and MURcine, in which authors are supported only in the Region of Murcia.
As for the awards, in the section of the best short films will receive $ 3,000.
There will also be a recognition for Best Direction, photography and script.
On the other hand, MURcine section, first prize Carabela de Plata city of Cartagena will be 1,500 euros, while the second, Peral Submarine, will be 500 euros.
