The first ficus Avenue of America has reached its new location in the Slum Lady of Charity, known as The Six Hundred and specifically have been transplanted in extending the greenway Barrio Peral.
The pruning performed González Soto, licensee of underground parking to be built on the Avenue of the Americas, already nearing completion.
For now, have been transported and transplanted a total of ten ficus about 40 copies exist.
The trees are transported by special trucks called 'shelf' where they can be placed between 1 and 2 copies per truck.
Buses run the way from the Avenida de America to the Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood in the back of the Mall Mandarache.
Once in its new location, the trees are placed through a trenching shovel for forming the specimens conditioned and can be transplanted more easily.
The tasks are supervised by specialists in gardening.
The rest of the ficus will arrive in the coming days and next week, while workers continue conditioning the ground for the extension of the Pearl District Greenway to facilitate transplantation.
