After the hiatus of the summer, workers have continued to work on the new bridge walkway in the neighborhood of the Conception, popularly known as Quitallejeos bridge, which begins to take shape.
This morning they finished placing the wooden platform that forms the floor of the new pedestrian walkway that will connect the avenue l Pius XII Royal Street.
The walkway is about 58 meters long and four meters wide and is made ​​of a metallic structure and supported by the arc of nine meters high, placed finished in late July.
The wooden parts are welded in place, so that your installation has not affected the traffic on the bridge, unlike what happened with the transportation and installation of the arc and the structure of the gateway.
With the installation of the wooden platform, it remains to complete the assembly of handrails and lighting and the runway is expected to be finished for good in October.
