The part of the great Spanish Armada Tour event that welcomes Audi Med Cup Cartagena from 23 to 28 August.
Among the attractions parallel to the race that happen these days in the vicinity of the port, is the presence of two naval ships of the Navy, minesweeper Segura, and Patrolman Infanta Elena.
Both ships will remain docked at the cruise ship dock on Thursday 25 and Friday August 26 and may be visited by the public during office hours 11.00 am to 13.00 pm and 17.00 pm to 20 00 hours.
Patrolman Infanta Elena is the third class corvette 'discovered' and was built by the company Bazan in Cartagena, which is based currently being delivered to the Navy on April 12, 1980.
Has a staff of 89 people and its dimensions reach 88 meters in length, 10 meters wide, 4.5 meters deep, and can sail at a speed of 25 knots.
The minesweepers Segura has 150 years of history, logistics, base operations and training in the Arsenal in Cartagena.
It has a staff of 40, with dimensions up to 54 meters long, 10.7 beam, 2.5 draft, and traveling at a speed of 14 knots.
Since 2000 is integrated into the NATO forces in the Mediterranean.
In addition to the openness of these vessels, the Navy has established a public stand in the Village of the Audi Med Cup, which is precisely opposite Plaza Héroes de Cavite, where you can see a sample of material from the Navy, also participated in workshops and exhibitions.
A static display of Marine Corps equipment and Dive Centre of the Navy can also be seen until Sunday 28 at the Temple of the promenade.
Both stand as the exhibition are open from 11.00 to 13.00 hours in the morning and from 17.00 to 21.00 hours in the afternoon.
