The 40th edition of the International Fair of Huerta and the Sea of Los Alcazares has laid off this Saturday August 20th with a closing ceremony at the Auditorium, the culmination of nine holidays that have made ​​the best of food, culture and regional and international folklore.
The closing ceremony was conducted by the mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida, and was attended by the Councillor for Tourism of the City of Cartagena, Palazón Carolina, as a municipality invited to this event has reached its fortieth anniversary.
During the final gala will be followed the proceedings of the Folk Group "Our Lady of the Immaculate 'vegetable garden of the rock' The chisquero 'and the song and dance group' El Rosal ', the rock huertano Jar.
To accompany the regional folklore, the most international performances came from Mexico, the folk fusion dance company and the mariachi band The colt's.
From the Caucasian Republic of Kabardino Balkaria (Russia) was the group Zori Caucasus, and the folk group Manavai attendees moved to the very Polynesian rhythms of Easter Island.
As an example of multiculturalism, members of the various participating groups danced together the traditional Jack of Guile, and by midnight the party ended with a tribute to the flags of all countries who participated in this edition and previous ones, and fireworks.
In total, eight sets of foreign guests, as well as 11 folk groups and eight rocks huertanas have participated in the International Week of the Garden and the Sea of ​​Los Alcazares which started last August 12.
In the nine days of celebration, as the guest city Cartagena has also had a booth for which they have passed all those attending the Fair, with the most representative samples of our festivals and folklore.
So, on Saturday August 13 a special parade was held for Carthaginians and Romans, and the next day performed the folk group of Cartagena, La Palma.
During the closing ceremony took place the draw, the winner will be announced soon, a one night stay at Hotel Alfonso XIII in Cartagena, and an entry for two guests in a box at the Grand Parade of Troops and General Legions of Carthaginians and Romans.
