The cultural association of San Ginés de la Jara near the parish and the brotherhood of San Ginés de la Jara, organized the festival of Cartagena pattern with various cultural and religious activities to be held the 24th and 25th August, with the collaboration, among others of the council of Celebrations of the City of Cartagena.
The program will start on Wednesday 24, at 20.30 hours with a parade and an offering of flowers, which depart from Roma Street to engineer de la Cierva of San Ginés Slum to the parish, and in which they may participate people who wish to wearing costumes.
At 21 hours will be held in the parish the proclamation in honor of the patron saint of Cartagena, by Juan Ignacio Ferrández.
On Thursday, August 25, the feast of San Ginés, will be held at 17 hours a solemn Mass in honor of the patron, chaired by Manuel Martinez Rosique, pastor and chaplain of the guild.
Next will be the procession with the image of San Ginés, accompanied by a band of bugles and drums.
Engineer tour the Avenue de la Cierva, and will be open to those who want it dressed in costumes.
On arrival proceed to the temple to the traditional bazaar of traditional Rolls Pan de San Ginés, followed by a chocolate biscuits.
