Alumbres neighbors live another year its festivities with religious ceremonies in honor of San Roque and Our Lady, and a wide range of activities from 11 to August 16, prepared by the Party Commission and the Neighborhood Association Alumbres with the assistance of the City of Cartagena and numerous companies and entities.
The festivities begin on Thursday August 11 with an awakening of rockets in the early hours and parades through the town.
The opening cry is borne by the host Carlos Chova.
Throughout the weekend will be going activities such as traditional games sack race, ball chair, apple tasting, among others, to enjoy days of coexistence among neighbors.
The Church Square is the center of the celebrations for all ages.
Younger children also enjoy the children's films, games, costume competitions.
On Sunday August 14th will be the big day rociero with horse carriages, fine wine tasting and rebujito, pilgrims' choir and giant paella for all.
On Monday August 15, feast of Our Lady of the Assumption is celebrated with parades and Diana Flores, in addition to the Mass in honor of the Virgin to be sung by the choir Rondalla of alum.
Finally, the last day of the festivities will be Tuesday, August 16, with the solemn procession with the image of the Virgin of the Assumption and San Roque in the streets of the town.
The event, at 19.30 hours, attend the District Councillor for the City of Cartagena, María José Roca Gutierrez.
At dawn, the firework display parties Alumbres bounce until next year.
