Neighborhood Association El Portus, in collaboration with the City of Cartagena and sponsored by numerous companies and businesses in the municipality organizes another year festivities in El Portus, held from 5 to August 14, 2011.
The program of events starts on Friday 5 with the opening speech by Jose Luis Lopez Martinez, a neighbor endearing people.
Saturday will take place the II Sailor, an event that recalls the origins of this unique fishing village.
The Second Day mediambiental El Portus will be held on Tuesday, August 9, with the Contest cleaning seabed drawings with the theme 'The Portus and the Environment', and a conference on environmental impact of coastal settlements.
Sports tournaments, dances, music, children's games, and cooking contests, fishing and costumes, it will happen until the Day of the patron saint on Sunday August 14.
The festive day will begin with a wreath of the neighbors who will wear the costumes of fishermen.
In the afternoon there will be the traditional procession down to the beach with a procession by sea, to the final fireworks will lay off the partying until next year.
