On the occasion of the feast of its patron, the parish church of St. James of Santa Lucia dresses during the celebration of religious ceremonies taking place from 22 to 25 July 2011, organized by the Confraternity of St. James of Glorious Cartagena.
The solemn event program begins Friday July 22, at 19.30 hours, with the Proclamation of exaltation after the Apostle, by Jose Miguel Mendez Martinez, Brother Mako.
It will have the assistance of María José Roca, Councillor District 5 (El Hondon, alum, tailings and Santa Lucia).
On Monday July 25, onomastics Pattern of Spain and St. Lucia, will take place at 12.00 hours, the solemn Eucharist presided by the Vicar of Cartagena, José Abellán Ibanez.
The Mass will be attended by District Councillor, Isaiah Camarzana.
The events in honor of the Apostle Santiago culminate on Monday with the traditional maritime procession, in which Santiago's throne will come at eight pm on the pier in Santa Lucia and will be paraded by boat on the port.
