A group of nuns of the order of the Sisters of the Poor, Mother Provincial front, today visited the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, in his office at the Palace Hall, a visit that the first municipal authority, accompanied by Councillor Social Care, Antonio Calderon, has been used to deliver a check for 20,750 euros of aid to the institution.
This amount is part of the annual grant of 41,500 euros, the same amount as last year, which gives the City Council to the charity to assist their efforts to care for the elderly living in the Asylum of Barrio de la Concepción and have moved to Murcia, so long as the said building is rehabilitated.
The rest of helping the Sisters of the Poor will be delivered as usual at Christmas.
