The feast of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of fishermen, was held on Saturday, following tradition, with a solemn Mass in St. James Church of Santa Lucia, followed by sea procession by boat on the dock of the port, which the image of Our Lady left the temple, his usual place, accompanied by files and fishermen on boats that made the same journey.
Both the Mass and the procession with the participation of members of the municipal corporation, and the councilors of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, District Isaiah Camarzana and Maria Jose Roca.
The Mass was officiated by the pastor of St. James Church, Obradors Angeles.
In addition to the procession, organized by the fishermen, the Virgin del Carmen also received the homage of the Navy, which also Patron, with a Mass in the church of Santo Domingo.
