Enrica Viganò ² and Paco Salinas are the curators of the exhibition Protagonists of Italian neorealism, Nino Migliori, which were presented today by the coordinator of La Mar de Arte Jose Luis Cegarra at the Palacio Molina, where it will remain open until the day August 31.
During the presentation, Vigan ² highlighted photography Migliori (Bologna, 1926) as one of the most significant and interesting of the European culture of the twentieth century and a reflection of neo-realism as a vision of a reality that raw popular, giving special attention to post-war Italy, concentrating on the southern parts and in Bologna and surroundings, his homeland.
The Italian artist, who is now considered one of the great architects of the vision, did his research coming in direct contact with people who were protagonists of those years of neo-realism, giving testimony of their lives and the intense social and politics of the time they lived.
Thus, his work contains a wide range of emotional registers, ethical and aesthetic, and this exhibition gathers a selection of those images, sixty in total, with a repertoire of faces, situations and customs of the recent past that is already part memory.
Nino Migliori's works are in major public and private collections, including the Galleria d ¿Arte Moderna, Rome, Museum of Modern Art, MNAC, Barcelona, ​​MOMA, New York, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston National Library-Museum Beaux Arts, Paris, and the SFMOMA, San Francisco (California), among others.
Protagonists of Italian Neorealism, Nino Migliori, an exhibition that is part of this edition of The Sea Art (Festival La Mar de Músicas) can be visited at the Palacio Molina 11 July to 31 August, Tuesday to Saturday 10 30 to 13.30 and from 17.00 to 20.30.
