The Citizen Space , which is integrated in the Youth Space in the Youth Council, has served 152 youth during the first six months of 2011, providing legal advice and legal.
The scope of the advice covers all disciplines of law (civil, labor, fiscal, administrative and criminal), excluding the help desk before the courts or other institutions.
Among the data to emphasize in the balance of Space Citizenship first half is the increase in inquiries about claims for money due to breach of contract.
In this sense, large amount of space users have been forced to default on obligations acquired by lack of means to address them.
What is done from the service offered by Youth, is to inform about the consequences of such failure, the means to apply for a division or postponement of their duties or helping them write letters or written to make such requests.
Another remarkable increase is that there has been in consultations in the workplace, especially the effects of dismissal: how to deal with a layoff, what to do if we disagree with the reasons given in the letter of dismissal, which awards may correspond, and so on.
The youth care is usually in person, although there are, depending on the issues raised, other options such as through the website of the City, served by mail or to phone.
Another action performed by the Youth Space through this advisory service is to derive the questions that require other external agencies to provide legal assistance, such as bar associations, and also, internally, to other municipal areas specialized to give a more complete and effective assistance.
