Local Police of the City of Cartagena has been the Traffic Safety Plan Summer-2011, for citizens and visitors can enjoy safe holidays in both the city and the coastal areas.
The plan was launched on 15 June and will last until September 15.
During the same build up the number of agents especially during weekends and public holidays in the beach areas, markets, festivals and other events such as La Mar de Músicas.
As explained by the Councillor of Greater Safety, Historical Center, Commerce and Public Way, Mariano Garcia, the plan will maintain the volume of services of summers past, anticipating the completion of 1,150 extra services.
Ordinary services in city and suburbs will continue 24 hours a day with an average of 150 agents, and increase service in the beach areas two more Monday through Thursday and 15 players.
On weekends and holidays regular service will increase with two other units in beach areas at night and 20 agents.
The Sunday service will be strengthened in the morning with two other units and 30 officers to cover the markets and input and output operations.
The Plan will mobilize the entire fleet of police: 50 vehicles and 40 motorcycles, plus two quads, one vehicle and a control multacar speed.

Ensuring the safety and traffic flow will be the main tasks performed by police officers of the City of Cartagena during the summer.
