As reported by the coordinator of the Coastal Infrastructure and the City of Cartagena, Gabriel Ruiz, is putting the finishing touches of the surface treatment of the square, which are expected to be finished, for the most part, this weekend.
This supply has been recently hired by the City as a complement to project to improve the sewerage and replacement of municipal services to the Plaza Bohemia, which invested 436,500 euros from the Local Investment Fund.
As you may recall it was intended to address the inadequacy of the sewerage network in this area of ​​La Manga during episodes of rain that caused floods and the low slope of the collectors it difficult to drain the water and caused odors.
This will build a new network of drains and scuppers were replaced for a separate network of sewage and other stormwater.
Also new connections were installed to siphon housing elements prevent odors, and gave the area a new pumping station with a new chest of slop located in the parking area, five feet deep under the water table.
The project was complemented with the revival of urban services, including the asphalting of the streets affected, the paving of the square, removing existing architectural barriers different, leaving it all on the same level and redistribution of space, according to a design agreed with neighbors and local businessmen.
The auction will now placing on the square of six streetlights on a natural stone, a dozen banks and many other boxes, similar to those on the streets of Cartagena del Carmen.
