The 15 students from the geriatric care for elderly dependents, offered by the Agency of Local Development and Employment (ALDE), will receive a diploma attesting to their training in a ceremony to be held in the ceremonial hall of the Palace Hall on Monday 4 July at 11.00 hours. These diplomas will be delivered by Councilman Job, Diego Ortega, and the Director of the Agency of Local Development and Employment, Francisco García-Valenzuela.
The course of geriatric care to dependent elderly began in April, aimed at unemployed people.
The 15 students selected from among a hundred requests have received theoretical and practical training in the care and dependent care.
After completion of theoretical training, with a duration of 150 hours, the students have made the practical training during the month of June in the workplace related to the care of dependent older.
These practices have been developed in the Virgen del Mar Homes, Los Almendros, Residential House, Marine Residence, Residence Santa Ana Nova, Group Care and Home Care Service (ODS).
With this training, the Agency of Local Development and Employment aims to improve the chances of employment for the unemployed people of Cartagena.
