Regarding the statements made in the last hours by union representatives of workers in the Autonomous Organism collection management of Cartagena (OAGRC) on their comparison with municipal officials, municipal government wants to clarify that is committed to open a negotiation process to match the remuneration of the staff of autonomous agencies of the City of Cartagena, as reflected in Working Conditions Agreement signed last April.
Throughout this process should consider matching formulas, as these workers retain employment and economic status, in some cases more advantageous than other municipal employees.
Finally, regarding the reduction of 5 percent of their salary, which is now applied retroactively, it is the enforcement of legislation approved by the Government of Spain and the scope of which affects not only officials but also employees of public bodies, as has been evident in judicial decisions.
