Cartagena Firefighters have inspected over the last 40 hours of bonfires installed throughout the municipality to celebrate the traditional Noche de San Juan.
Half of the fires were deficient mainly in its location, as explained by the Fire after Pedro Diaz, the neighbors put them under power lines without realizing it or too close to homes.
In that case, firefighters, aided by the municipal shovels have replaced the fire or have cleared the perimeter to prevent the spread of fire.
Diaz pointed out that the fires can not be performed on asphalt, within 150 meters of a dwelling or within 500 meters of a wooded area.
Firefighters have traveled to many parts of the municipality as the Coto de Dorda, Santa Ana, El Albujón, El Rosal and La Palma, as well as coastal areas such as Cabo de Palos and La Manga.
The inspection device of fires by firefighters began yesterday and will continue throughout the afternoon, with special attention to tonight eve of San Juan.
At dawn and early morning inspection tasks culminate controlling all fires have been extinguished properly.
