More than a dozen workers who have been reported UPCT shouting, threats and degrading treatment in private and in public by Luis Jávega.
UGT informed the Rector UPCT the untenable situation in the unit to act accordingly, and there is no evidence that it has.
The passivity of the team rector, UGT lodged a complaint with the Labour Inspectorate to investigate the events described and the Minutes of Violation to the UPCT.
The Federation of Education Workers of UGT, has filed with the Labour Inspectorate to investigate a complaint the proceedings of the head of the Academic Management Unit of the UPCT, Luis Jávega, in the situation experienced by more than a dozen workers and women of this department.
FETE-UGT complaint in that unit, are living possible situations that may constitute harassment cases because of the attitude of his chief staff serving in it.
The written complaint submitted by UGT to the Inspectorate of Labour, shows how in recent months are continually shouting, work pressure, harassment and degrading treatment under a threatening tone that have resulted in several cases, low temporary disability of several workers in this unit for anxiety disorders, tachycardia and hypertension.
In the complaint, certain facts are manifest as workers who are humiliated in public by the head of the unit, workers are interrupted and ridiculed while serving the public, threats, shouts, among others.
In fact, today many workers are receiving psychological treatment for the events described.
Since the creation of UPCT in 1999, there have been many cases of temporary disability resulting from the situation before but it was now when the situation in the Academic Management Unit of the UPCT has become untenable.
In fact, UGT urges the Labour Inspectorate to collect information on the amount of sick leave due to psychological causes that have occurred among workers.
The events described are accompanied, in addition, various documents showing that the situation prevailing in that unit should be investigated by the Labour Inspectorate, to go against the provisions of Article 4.2 of the Statute of Workers .
These facts were made known to the Rector of the UPCT, who knows by this union, the behavior of Mr. Jávega that makes unsustainable living in it.
Given the seriousness of the facts, UGT urges that the Labour Inspectorate to investigate what happened and after the formalities and verifications, the Minutes of Violation, if any, against the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
