The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, received this morning the new head of the Guardia Civil in Cartagena, Captain José Antonio Muñoz Roca, which happens in the post Justo Sanchez, who was sent to Vera (Almería) last April.
In the interview, of a protocol at the Palace Hall, was also attended by the new council area of Public Safety, Mariano García Asensio.
After the meeting, Captain Muñoz Roca has met the media has reported that his first impression of the Society of Cartagena, which is in a normal situation, with no major weaknesses or infrastructure or staff.
Roca Muñoz comes Torrevieja company to take over command of the budget which is based in Barracks Road Bruna Angeles and will work with a staff of about 180 troops, not counting the own specialties such as traffic or maritime service.
The main tasks include the p revention of burglaries in the area of Cartagena, an area affected by the crimes but, as he assured Muñoz Roca, increased surveillance and in the last month and a half there has been no increase theft.
The new captain of the Guardia Civil has also indicated it will work in coordination with the Police Loca l and try to optimize human and material resources at its disposal.
