Pilar Barreiro has been chosen for the fifth consecutive time mayor of Cartagena, while fully establishing the corporation that was held this afternoon at the plenary hall of the Town Hall.

In his opening remarks to the public after being elected mayor, Pilar Barreiro has expressed the enormous responsibility that comes with having had such resounding backing to govern Cartagena, and is committed to create a strong government in a time of economic uncertainty.
Employment is the primary concern of citizens, and creating new job opportunities will be the largest of the government's priorities for the next four years. Cartagena is strong and has resources to recover the path of growth curtailed by the crisis, has said the mayor.
Barreiro has said that the new government will maintain its social objectives sparing no resources to care for our most vulnerable citizens by the crisis.

OBEJTIVOS FOR THE NEW TERM

PERFORMANCE AT FULL COUNCIL
