IU-Greens has today expressed concern over the possibility that a Korean multinational install base oils plant in the valley of tailings, in Cartagena, considering that this infrastructure only further pollutes "the municipality.
The head of the Environment of IU-Greens in the Region, Victoria Rodriguez, has said he is "a new injustice" and wondered if the general direction of Environmental Quality has asked for my opinion about the plant's neighbors populations border.
In his view, the general direction "has been serving Repsol", interested in setting up the plant because they perform a necessary product for the lubricant of the Korean company, without taking into account the pressure of the valley and industrial emissions companies located there.
Rodriguez also said the plant, "but has the sponsorship of Repsol, should meet all the administrative procedures as it is a polluting activity, and criticized that the area does not have an industrial management plan, a plan mobility and external emergency.
