The Cartagena Chamber Orchestra has organized a charity concert to benefit victims of the earthquake in Lorca, a small contribution to the orchestra wants to compensate, somehow, economic and personal damage that has caused this catastrophe.
Composed mostly of teachers from the Conservatory of Cartagena, the Orchestra is particularly close to the victims and the Conservatory of Lorca himself has been seriously affected and many of its teachers have lost their homes.
For this concert, the Chamber Orchestra will have the collaboration of professors at the Conservatory of the Region of Murcia, who have given so selflessly at the outset.
The concert will take place on Saturday 25 June at 20.00 hours in the Auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, which has offered its concert hall for this act of solidarity, which are also collaborating with Caritas and the city of Cartagena.
The concert program will include the Egmont Overture and Symphony No. 1 and Beethoven's Concerto for Flute and Harp by Mozart, with soloists José Miguel Peñarrocha (flute) and José Antonio Domenico (harp).
Solidarity entries will cost 5 euros.
They will be available from Wednesday 15 June in Cartagena Caritas office (Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 13:30 hours), the Conservatory of Cartagena (Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 21.00 h) and tend to "volo.
