Two joint ventures have submitted bids to finally contest sponsored by the City of Cartagena for the management and operation of the new Auditorium and Congress Palace Batel, located in the port, whose term ended Monday.

As pointed out by the council of Finance and Contracting office, José Cabezas in the coming days is expected to convene the jury to proceed to the first opening of the envelopes of the tenders, including administrative records, with that must be proven professional competence and financial standing of the applicants.
Be the first step of the procedure to be followed for the award, which will later open and examine the technical documentation, which includes cultural and conference scheduling and management model of the auditorium, as well as supply economic.
The specification establishes a contest within the facilities management of 15 years, during which the contractor must pay an annual rent of one million euros.
The statement also states the obligation to submit a proposal for programming and management covering the first five years, during which the City could subsidize these activities with an annual quantity of 2.6 million euros.
So the contractor will design two seasons with performances each year for the Hall current cultural activity, divided as follows: spring season, which will include a greater variety of stage activities to be included among the actions belonging to Moving Dance Festival, and autumn-winter season, which should include the same requirements as the spring season, but including this time, programming the Cartagena Jazz Festival.
The annual total programmed actions shall not exceed 50 days.
The costs incurred for the recruitment, advertising, copyright, management and any other derivative of a municipal program activities shall be borne entirely by the contractor, which in turn will keep raising the ticket office.
