Leonardo Da Vinci Scholarship recipients receive job offers after their internships abroad (19/05/2011)

The 22 youngsters who have enjoyed the program Leonardo Da Vinci mobility Euroexperience-ADLE III, managed by the Agency of Local Development and Employment, have received their diplomas this morning at the Palace Hall, in a ceremony chaired by the Councillor for Youth and Employment , Ruth Collins, and director of the ADLE, Francisco García-Valenzuela.

Young people have done an internship during 12 weeks in different European countries, from 21 February to 14 May. Portugal, Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic were the destinations that have embraced these young people trained in the areas of advertising , journalism, business administration, tourism, telecommunications, engineering, architecture, banking, veterinary and social action, explained the Councillor for Youth and Employment, Ruth Collado.

From ADLE are facilitated round-trip travel, accommodation, preparation linguistically and management of placements.

The aim is to exchange experiences with other community partners and offer young people an opportunity that will open doors to employment.

In fact, as noted by Ruth Collado, some participants have received job offers in companies of different host countries.

This is the case of Jorge García Mata, 25, a graduate in Business Administration (Business Administration), which has enjoyed the Leonardo scholarship in Krakow (Poland), working in the accounting department at IBM. After this period practices, the company has offered a one-year contract, with three weeks of training in Barcelona, ​​after which return to the Polish capital.

The complexity of the language has not been a problem for him since he had a good level of English to cope in the workplace.

However, upon reaching his destination all do a language course in the host country, as has Maria Victoria Iniesta, who has enjoyed the Leonardo scholarship in Portugal.

María Victoria has worked as a civil engineer with studies of safety and prevention in a company in Lisbon.

After working hours, eight hours from Monday to Friday, still had time to also enjoy the city life along with other scholars.

Now, consider that this experience is very beneficial to keep looking for work because it is an opportunity that you can certainly open doors.
