El Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy received yesterday the delivery of the XXXI Sports Awards at a ceremony in which participants stressed the authorities support the work of companies and institutions despite the crisis, and the importance of sport base
The Cultural Center Luzzy Ramón Alonso became the stage last night at the Gala Awards Sports Cartagenero XXXI.
A new appointment of the great family of Sport Cartagenero in which paid tribute to the greatest players in 2010.
The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, Director General of Sports, Antonio Peñalver, and ALMART, Francisco Javier Franco Suanzes attended the gala to make delivery of major awards.
Barreiro presented the award for Best Male Athlete, which this year has gone to Jesus Cantero (table tennis); Peñalver did the same with the award for Best Female Athlete, Fatima Reyes Sanchez (sailing) and Vice Admiral Suanzes Franco presented the award Best sporting event of the Strengths Route.
During the ceremony, the mayor wanted to highlight and praise the work that, despite times of crisis like these, carried out by companies, societies and institutions of the city to keep sports activities by relying mainly on grassroots sport .
For his part, Antonio Peñalver Cartagena commended the high level you're getting the sport and the athletes of the city at the regional level.
Remember that these awards which are held annually by the Sports Council in collaboration with local media, were announced last March, after being presented through open tender.
