The fourth edition of the contest organized by the Department of Youth through IDEAS program, what do you know Europe?, Has already won: the IES San Isidoro.
On Monday May 9, Europe Day, from 12.00 to take place the presentation of diplomas to the pupils of San Isidoro IES and the other young participants in the Youth Resource Centre located in the Paseo Alfonso XIII.
The presentation of diplomas will be chaired by the Councillor for Youth, Ruth Collins, and will be attended by the Director General of Local Government, Institutional Relations and Action, Juan Antonio Morales, vice president of the Parents' Federation (FAPA), Joaquín Muñoz, and the Director of Teacher Training Centre in Cartagena, Daniel Mark.
All have been part of the jury ruled last day 4, with the Head of European Relations Service of the Autonomous Region, María Saura, and Rosa Muñoz, Technical Department of Youth.
According to the jury, it was a tight decision because the quality of the work presented is rising year after year, and the creativity and ingenuity of the students always surprises.
In total there have been 198 students from nine classes of four institutes of Cartagena, the first and second cycle of ESO.
Moreover, to speak with knowledge about Europe, young people have been visited by European volunteers that have occurred during the first quarter of this year by the European volunteers, Victor Phillips, Anna and Guided, from Germany, Latvia and Italy, respectively.
European volunteers have gone through all participating schools to talk about their countries, giving lectures and answering questions from school students who have enjoyed these visits and have come to realities that were distant.
All papers submitted to the contest you can visit the exhibition at the Resource Center Youth Council, until 9 May, from 10 to 14 and from 17 to 19 hours.
