The Municipal Institute of Social Services City of Cartagena and groups of Barrio San Anton organized for Saturday 7 May the festival of Los Mayos and the crosses of St Anton 2011.
The objective of this activity is to encourage the participation of these groups in planning, development and implementation of a joint and coordinated action, to give a broader and more inclusive dimension to the celebration of the crosses of May, so rooted in the neighborhood of San Anton.
The program will start at 10.00 hours with the sole of the Mayos, who after 12.00 hours will be presented by various points of the neighborhood, from the Casino to the Hospital Santa Teresa, a journey through tradition and culture popular in this neighborhood.
The verdict of the jury in Los Mayos and children's workshops will be at 14.00 hours, accompanied by a popular barbecue, Moraga, michirones tasting and finish the day at 22.00 hours will be held the traditional dance.
This project has helped the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration in the Autonomous Community, the Association of Romeros, Adult Education, Tupac Jatari, Serpa, AMPA Colegio San Antonio Abad, Accem and Cepain.
