The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, and the Minister of Health, María Angeles Palacios, accompanied by the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, today launched the XI Congress of Teaching Hospital, highlighting the work being developed by teachers and health personnel to attend to sick students in health care.
In this sense, Sotoca recalled that the work of these professionals allowed last year that 1,900 students stay in school and class in various hospitals in the Region of Murcia.
For its part, the Minister of Health has described as essential to the work performed by teachers and health in the Region Hospital Classrooms, to prevent the disease involves a reduction in the educational process and to contribute to further improve the academic success .
In this regard, the minister said it is necessary to reflect and share experiences to further promote good practice in education and hospital care.
The Education Minister said that still need to improve coordination among professionals from healthcare and education and between these families, while exposed the need to promote the use of information technology and communication to facilitate the work education.
In this line, has announced the creation of an online platform where you can share offer activities that the school, family and students, and to help improve the work of teachers and coordination with the school.
This space will also allow the sick students spend their free time with activities that entertain and enrich.

JOINT INITIATIVES
The collaboration between the Ministries of Health and Education has made ​​clear in several joint initiatives that lead to the benefit of sick children.
