Nine organizations, including fraternities are Easter, bands, fraternities pilgrims, folk groups and other associations, assembled for this weekend, as many Cruces de Mayo in the city and county adjacent neighborhoods, with collaboration of the council of Celebrations of the City of Cartagena.
La fiesta de las Cruces de Mayo is celebrated in many Spanish cities and regions around May 3. Its origin is religious, and it commemorates the day when the tradition was found Christ's cross by St. Helena, mother of Emperor Roman Constantine the Great.
But along with this religious background, it remains popular in dance and other cultural activities around the different streets and squares where you installed crosses adorned with flowers and other motifs.
The ratio of intersections and locations this year is:
