After 4 years of undue delay, the General Plan adopted by Pilar Barreiro will be amended by the CARM.
From SPCT applaud the decision of the regional government, which slows down the claims in part demolition, for much of the natural heritage of the municipality of Cartagena.
SPCT considers the decision of the regional government as a full-scale repudiation of the Pilar Barreiro planning policy in this term.
Specifically last February, through a press release from SPCT required the CARM will amend the claims of urban team of Pilar Barreiro, preventing construction in Cala Reona and the Mar Menor, a requirement which seems at least partially successful.
SPCT thought Pilar Barreiro urban policy has been chaos in the process of drafting the new General Plan.

In short, Pilar Barreiro filed a General Plan that was absent from the west, Santa Lucia and San Antón, a clear example of lack of political courage, and the most important issues regarding the General Plan, construction in Cala Reona, reduced protection Mar Menor and the mountains of Cartagena are now, thankfully, rejected by the regional government.
This policy has led to improvised legal uncertainty for industry professionals of great concern and has undoubtedly had a negative impact on job creation.
