The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by the Director General of Sports, Antonio Peñalver, and the council, Alonso Gómez López, gave a reception yesterday afternoon the heads of the delegations participating in the Volleyball Championship in Spain child to self-selection cadet takes place from Tuesday 26 April until Sunday 1st of May in Cartagena.
At the reception were also members of the organizing committee, with representatives of the Spanish federation and the Region of Murcia, and the representative of the Consejo Superior de Deportes, José Vallés.
The reception was held at the Palace Hall
and in it the mayor welcomed them to town and invited them to enjoy the resorts, the port and the beaches of La Manga, where delegations are housed.
As you recall the title of Spain is organized by the Higher Sports Council, the Directorate General Sports Murcia, and the city of Cartagena and involves 1,200 athletes, 60 coaches, 40 referees, as well as delegates and heads of issuance of each of the 17 regions plus the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
